Top Flite XL Extreme Distance Golf Balls?

What kind of golfers are these for? I think these are from Callaway? Sorry I don 't know anything about golf. was thinking to get some golf balls tailored as a gift. I 'd say that is an amateur expert rating. Think of anything except Titlelist because the gift is a no-no?

Callaway recently bought out Top Flite and it is noticable in the quality of their products. However, the Top Flite XL is still what golfers refer to as the Rock Flites, because they are so hard you get no feedback on your shots.
I’d get him the Top Flite D2 - these are the first Top Flite balls to allow the benefit of the Callaway improvements, and they only cost about $1 per ball.
